With our cosmetology course, students can learn how to develop critical work habits needed for a career in the industry, understand the importance of sanitation, health and safety and gain business and customer service skills. Practical skills include learning hair coloring, hair cutting, perming, hair relaxing, hair styling, nail technology, skincare and more. Where are your campuses located?

We have campuses in Saint Joseph, Traverse City, Holland, and Norton Shores in Michigan. We also have a campus in Granger, Indiana. You can enroll at any of our campuses, and we recommend you book a tour before starting to find which campus is the right fit for you.

What is the admissions process for Moored Beauty Schools?

We use a straightforward admissions process. You must complete an application, provide proof of high school graduation or the equivalent, and complete an interview with our admissions team.

Do you offer financial aid or payment plans?

We offer various financial aid options, including federal grants and loans and payment plans for eligible students. Our financial aid team is available to help students navigate the process of applying for financial assistance.

What kind of accreditation does Moored Beauty Schools have?

Moored Beauty Schools are accredited by the National Accrediting Commission of Career Arts and Sciences (NACCAS), recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.

What kind of equipment and supplies are provided to students?

Students who purchase a kit from our school will receive all the necessary equipment and supplies to complete their coursework, including textbooks and tools such as shears, combs, and brushes.

What is the Pivot Point learning system?

This is an up-to-date learning system with some digital components that we use to educate cosmetology students. It uses hands-on learning and critical thinking to help students develop their technical skills. It also helps develop communication and business skills. With Pivot Point, students have access to various digital tools and resources that enhance the learning experience, making it easier to stay engaged and motivated.

What is the schedule for classes?

Classes are held Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. for the first 400 hours of the 1500-hour program. After 400 hours, you can either stay on that schedule or move to a 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. schedule to complete the course sooner.

How long does it take to complete the cosmetology course?

Our motto is: you could get a new career in a year! You can complete our cosmetology training in as little as 12 months.

Can I make an appointment for services?

Absolutely! As an education salon, we offer services to the public. By booking a service with us you’re helping support the education of future beauty professionals! You can make an appointment by calling the campus directly. Please note that the services are performed by students under the supervision of our licensed instructors.
